Pumpkin Carving

The next morning...the girls with their jack o lantern (notice they are all wearing their pumpkin shirts/dress - I actually wanted them to wear something different to school today since I knew we were going out to lunch to celebrate Chris' bday together, but they wouldn't have it any other way...girls and their clothes - they know what they want!!!).

It's pumpkin carving time - although ours isn't fancy, it's fun for the girls to help/watch and they sure do enjoy the finished product....a cute jack o lantern with a candle in it....

What Lexy thinks of the squishy insides....daddy does too, but he was brave for the girls (smiley face)

Yes - the girls are all on the kitchen table....daddy needed his work space up high & the girls had to see up close...so we let them....smiley face. It was freezing outside so it was an inside job tonight - until I had to get one picture of them with it outside (oh the things they do for mommy & her precious camera - thank you)!
After baths - Chris turned the jack o lantern around so the girls could watch it from the door (Abby was already sleeping)....so cute!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today is Daddy's 35th bday - where has the time gone?! While I spoiled him with his birthday present already (and he who told the girls that they can't tell him what he's getting until his birthday didn't complain one bit when he got his new obession - an iPhone - early for his birthday - too funny, but glad he loves it - smiley face and we all know he deserves something nice for himself - he works so hard & does so much for so many, he needs a special treat every now and then - LOL!).

The girls were sooooo excited to buy Daddy's bday presents - like I said above, they couldn't wait to tell him what they bought him - it was so cute. When I asked them what they wanted to get him, Lexy's first response was a computer. When I told her I didn't think we could do that - she immediately said "a new brush b/c his is so gross" (so true Lexy - so true - he's had the same hairbrush for as long as I've known him - despite my attempts at getting rid of it/buying a new one - it always finds its way back to his dop kit, nasty, stubby little thing). I thought that was a great idea - and it made me laugh so hard...she then proceeded to say she wanted to get him two brushes - one for home & one for his bag (meaning his workout bag) and a book....we bought him all of it. Hannah said she wanted to get him "pink mints" - while we weren't able to find pink mints, we did find his favorite cinnamon "spicy" gum. And the girls said Abby wanted to get him a razor for the house (he keeps his cordless one in the car and shaves as he goes to work at oh dark hundred hours) - while we convinced her (or I should say I convinced Lexy & Hannah) that a candy bar would be the perfect gift for him - I'm sure he's going to love his Ghiradelli carmel filled bar...yum! (san fran memories!!!).

Here are photos from our day - Chris surprised Lexy (and her class) as mystery reader. It sounded so cute - as he walked into the room, they all had their heads in their hands until he walked in - Lexy was THRILLED to say the least. Afterwards, Hannah had her Halloween party in her class and Daddy read another story to the girls in her class...and we all enjoyed a lunch out at Mellow Mushrom - what a fun bday celebration - daddy & his girls for lunch - smiley face!

We are looking forward to a night out tonight just the two of us (thank you Gma for watching the girls). Happy Birthday Buddy - we love you!!!!

Dontje Halloween Party

SuperGirl and her frog!

Our angel (who's costume is on backwards - we didn't realize it until half way through the party - hee hee - smiley face). She picked the costume out of a magazine!

The Dontje's held their annual Halloween Party and the girls had so much fun (they even found a frog in the yard and were poking at it, laughing - I was secretly freaking out - hee hee).

The Faklaris girls in their Halloween costumes....

An angel with vampire teeth (one of the party favors)

Disney (princesses) on Ice

The girls in their fairy hats (you get them with your cotton candy - which we just HAD to buy - yum, yum!)

Hannah had a "belly ache" after the show - we had pizza for lunch, cotton candy & she ate the majority of this popcorn (she was so sweet - the salt from the popcorn was drying out her lip so she held a wet wipe on her lip as she at the popcorn - hillarious!!!!) - no idea where the belly ache came from - smliey face! There truly is too much of a good thing!!!!

Lexy devoured her cotton candy - and I enjoyed quite a bit of Hannah's too - smiley face!

The girls with their cotton candy & fairy hats!

Lexy, Kate, Hannah & Lauryn before the show...

Lexy, Mommy & Hannah before the show

What Daddy did while we were there (and Abby was sleeping) - walk up to Moe's for lunch, get cookies for our Halloween party at Publix, walk home, blow the leaves from the yard, then start his spanish session - he's so excited to learn it (hopefully he will this time - smiley face).

I took Lexy & Hannah (with the Barrett girls) to see Disney on Ice - we had been telling them it was Disney Princesses on Ice - so when there was only one princess (The Little Mermaid) in the show, it took a bit of time for them to adjust (but they still loved it - although it was their first exposure to Cars - they had seen The Lion King at Animal Kingdom last year and of course, who doesn't love Tinkerbell and all her fairy friends) - a bonus was that Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck and Goofy were in the show a lot too - fun, fun, fun! They had a ball - and loved the food the most...smiley face. We saw lots of friends there too - extra fun - smiley face! It was a great time - and amazing all these characters could do in full costume on ice skates. We were lucky to be able to take the girls to enjoy such a fun time....smiley face!

Sunday Morning

Hannah with her "phantom boo-boo" on her forehead!

Of course, the girls picked out outfits so far from each other in color for church today - they looked adorable (but - as always - I'm biased - smiley face), but I had to get a picture of them...smiley face!

Last day of fall soccer....

Lexy after she got her trophy - can you tell she was wild today?! smiley face! love that messed up hair!!!

Most of the team at our end of season celebration

Lexy playing - she was cold and insisted on putting her pants on over her shorts - nice look - smiley face. Everyone on the team scored a goal today (Lexy scored two)!

Today was the last day of soccer for both the girls...and Hannah had a banner morning. She loved playing today & dribbled the ball all the way down field through everyone at one point during her game - coach daddy was so proud (so were Nana & me from the sidelines - smiley face). We will miss the soccer seasons for both girls - it has been fun, but we'll enjoy our Sat mornings for a while until spring soccer comes - smiley face!!!!

Friday Fun....

I had to take pictures of the girls this morning - they looked so sweet (Lexy all ready for school in her corduroy lab dress and Hannah & Abby all dressed for gymnastics - but ready for the rainy day ahead of us with their boots on (the raincoats came later b/c it rained all day - although Hannah said "it's okay mommy b/c God is filling Lake Lanier back up" - so sweet!).

Fall Fun

During the "bewitching" hour (4-6pm - the time after naps/before dinner/waiting for Daddy) we usually play outside to get all our energy out...here are some pictures of the girls playing (Abby loves to get in the pile of leaves I rake on the driveway (and eventually we put on a tarp and haul to the way back of the yard) she has so much fun with the girls in them)
