Woo Hoo - Splash Mountain
It's been raining a lot in Atlanta lately (one can't complain at all when you see how sad Lake Lanier looks - we desperately need the rain) and Hannah is sooooo cute...when we're in the car and going downhill she screams "woo hoo, splash mountain" - Lexy's favorite ride (and now in Hannah's mind, her favorite ride too....she did enjoy it when we were at Disney, but it was Lexy begging to ride it again). It's adorable...and shortly after Hannah says it, Abby repeats "woo hoo - splash mountain".
playdate with the Rohan girls

Fun times...the girls had a blast today with the Rohan girls...the jumped on the trampoline, played upstairs in Lexy's bunk beds (a playdate favorite when Abby's not napping), plyaed in the basement...and went on a Faklaris playdate tradition....a treasure hunt. Hope they had as much fun as Lexy, Hannah and Abby did (only problem...Abby never napped today - I went from babysitting baby charlie to having the Rohan's over and Abby wasn't interested in sleeping AT ALL - too much fun going on that she was missing out on...oh no, is this lack of naps to come?!).
Fun times with family....

Chris took the girls to the warehouse on Saturday...then called his brother and parents to meet them afterwards for some fun...they went to an indoor jumpy place with a giant sandbox in the middle and ball shooters. I was working out at the Y and grocery shopping for Gmas bday so I missed all their fun...but it sounded like a blast. Thanks for joining the girls....smiley face!
Flour flour everywhere!

Hannah & Abby had a playdate over....Lauryn Barrett came over to play at our house, while Lexy went to her house to play with big sister Kate....they had a ball. Chris gave up his beloved chocolate for lent, so I wanted to make pumpkin bread for him (I forgot the baking soda/powder yet again so it didn't rise really - sorry buddy, I had the best of intentions and the girls still loved it - smiley face).....here are some pictures of our flour covered kitchen....oh so fun!
Easter Egg show & tell

We had to pick from E or K (and I had forgotten that Lexy really wanted to bring the picture of me holding the koala bear from my trip to Sydney), so I got out the Easter Egg dye while they were still in their pjs before school and they had a ball...Abby couldn't quite get the concept of gentle and actually squeezed an egg until everything seeped out - too funny! Here they are dying & then coloring their eggs - fun times. We missed you daddy!
Sweet Abs

We had a tough Wed night....I was getting dinner ready and the girls were playing follow the leader around the house...apparently they were playing ring around the rosie & Hannah pulled Abby a bit too hard...all I heard from the kitchen was Abby's screams/cries and Hannah say "I'm sorry Abby - I didn't mean to hurt you"....she kept saying her arm hurt her. The doctor's office was already closed, so we decided to let her sleep on it & see how it was in the morning...she didn't sleep at all - in fact I think she watched more tv that night than she does in a month...tv show after tv show b/c I was a zombie (I can't imagine having a newborn again right now...I am used to my sleep - hee hee). She wasn't moving her arm at all...so sad. Tylenol was doing nothing for her either. That morning, we dropped the girls off at school & I took her to the doctor. He played with it a bit - ear piercing screams at that - and said he thought we should go to the pediatric orthapedics office for xrays...oh no was all I could think...but within an hour, whatever the doctor had done had worked - she was fine! He called it nursemaid's wrist....I have heard of elbow (b/c our niece & nephew have both had it) but not the wrist...glad to know she's fine though....we got home from the rainy day & she wanted to play in the puddles - of course i had to let her have her fun - mud and all...she loved it & was smiling...finally - smiley face!
George's pirate party

Hannah was so excited to go to George's pirate party....we borrowed a costume from Calle Hutchinson and she looked adorable (I know - I'm biased - smiley face). They were so wonderful to include Lexy and Abby too - only they went as commoners - hee hee! It was so sweet....as Hannah turned the corner in George's backyard and he saw her, his face lit up & he ran across the party like he was meeting his princess pirate - so adorable! George's mom told me that he has a picture of Hannah by his bedside - they are adorable together...smiley face!
Abby's first piece of gum....
As I've said before, nothing good ever happens at Mellow Mushroom, but we sure do love that place. After Lexy's first soccer practice, we went there with the Barrett's and their girls, and Leland (her brother had a baseball game so she came with us) and Uncle Tom, Aunt Meredith & baby Charlie joined us too (what a treat!)....well, two margartias/beers later, Chris felt bad b/c everyone else was chewing gum (yes - while we don't let Hannah chew it on a regular basis, she has had it more than a handful of times), he let Abby buy a piece too....she was in pure bliss as she drueled that mess all over herself....adorable and frightening how fast we are letting her grow up....smiley face!

Pinestraw delivery....

Yes, it's that time of year again - and like clockwork, Lexy climbed up on it when she got home from school & reminded me to get my camera to take her pictures...too funny. I still have about 20 bales to put out - I'm tuckered out from all the work (thanks Chris for the 8 or so you helped with - ha ha)....but know it makes our yard look so much prettier - smiley face! Happy spring!
Finger-wagging No No

One of Lexy's new favorite things to do when she wants to answer no is to say "no no" and wag her finger at you...I know it's disrespectful so I try to tell her not to do it - but at the same time, it's hillarious and I think it's a bit cute....she did it at dinner the other night & I had to get my camera...so that of course caused Hannah to want to do it too....oh no - smiley face!
Charlie's first babysitter...

What an honor...smiley face! Meredith is playing her first tennis match now since having sweet Charlie - he's two weeks old tomorrow (impressive!!!). Abby was thrilled to be riding home from school today with Charlie next to her - she was so sweet....and (knock on wood) he's been sleeping the entire time and hopefully Meredith's winning her match...smiley face!
Silly Hannah

The girls got new sunglasses this week (although I bought Lexy tinkerbell glasses and she said Thank you, but then asked why I didn't get her HSM ones instead? - she's growing up and choses that over the princesses - oh no!)....and Hannah loved wearing them all at once (Abby was sleeping & Lexy was at a playdate at Ella's)....cutie-patootie!
A Saturday at the Zoo....

...with Nana, Aunt Dana, Granny & Grandpa. It was supposed to be a BEAUTIFUL weekend (and it became one) but not until it was nearly time for us to go home. None the less, the girls had THE BEST time with our family (even if Hannah did end with two scrapped knees - she's all better now) - smiley face. Fun family times!
Snow what fun......

We didn't believe the weather people when they said it was going to snow 2-4" today - we should have - smiley face. As we left church today, it was raining - Chris took Lexy to paint a rental house & took Hannah & Abby to run some errands - as we were leaving the first store, the rain and turned to snow and by the time we got home, it was sticking to the ground! No one wanted to pose for me at first (so I got a picture of Makena - sweet dog!)....but once Chris & Lexy got home, we got everyone bundled up and started having fun. Abby got cold quickly and watched from the window inside....and Hannah wasn't far behind (they wanted a fire & hot chocolate - smiley face). Chris, Lexy & I continued creating (Chris more-so than anyone - he's a big kid at heart and made a snowman for each girl and a snow dog for Makena).....such fun!
