While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is about - author unknown

And her mother's daughter....

Sweet Lexy is a hypocondriact just like me....smiley face.  She vividly remembers the details of when she sprained her ankle a year and a half ago - this is a copy of today's journal entry from school - love the details of mommy wanting to take her to the hospital & daddy waiting & finally agreeing to the urgent care - smiley face!!

Her father's daughter....

like father like daughter - Hannah doesn't like to get her hands dirty either AND loves to play sports - smiley face

Abby & Max

Abby has been saying all year how much she loves Max (a boy in her class) and the girls & her have been saying how she's going to marry him....we finally had sweet Max over for a playdate and he must feel the same way about her b/c his mom said not only did he put cologne on before he came over (adorable!) but he also made her an easter egg & wrapped it up....so sweet!

Happy Birthday Gma

Hannah's strep throat

Hannah complained of a sore throat so I made a dr appt for her.....and wow did that come with lots of tears & resistance.  After bribing her to go get her throat swabbed - they found she did have strep throat...afterwards we had to go to Target for me to pay up on my bribe - an icee and squeaky's.....ahhhh!!!

Lexy's fitness plan

On days she isn't playing/practicing soccer - Lexy is jogging or riding the bike.   Chris has showed her how to do situps, pushups and the plank.  The morning after her first daddy/daughter workout she complained her stomach was hurting her so bad....eventually I figured out it was sore stomach muscles - so sweet!!!

Spring Soccer Season

While Lexy has been playing soccer for a month now, Hannah & Abby's season starts today.  They had a great start to the season....Abby scored 6 goals in her first game (INCREDIBLE) and Hannah scored 4 goals (WOW) against a tough team!  Lexy played a great game for NASA that morning too....smiley face

In between Abby & Hannah's games we had a picnic lunch up at the fields w/ the Dunkerley family (Kira had just had surgery) and Kate Draughon (her parents were out of town) - fun friends!!

Contraction Doctors

Lexy's class dissected contractions in class and came out still in surgery mode!  What a creative way to teach - love her 2nd grade teacher!!!

Hannah's attempt....

love your penmanship but sorry sweet girl - no bunnies for this Faklaris family - smiley face

Hannah & Abby sing in choir

Sock Hop

This year's annual father daughter girl scout sock hop fell on St Patty's Day.  And since Hannah is a daisy, she was so excited to go too.  Thanks to Gma for making the girls new poodle skirts (and b/c she made two new ones - Abby got to wear one for the Picture Pre Party at our house) and Aunt Laura for making the green shamrock pins so they wouldn't get pinched.  We had both troops and their  families over for a casual, chaotic night with dinner and outdoor fun before the dance got started.  Chris & the girls came home a little after 9 exhausted - their feet all hurt from dancing so much.  What a fun night....smiley face  (notice the pix at the end of the night - Abby's skirt (which was way too big) was covered in mulch from all the fun she'd had - smiley face).

Happy St Patrick's Day

Those crazy leprechaun's came again this St Patty's day.  The girls had gold coins in their rooms with their leprechaun hats on their stuffed animals - and downstairs in the kitchen our milk was green and lucky charms were everywhere!  Not to mention all our cups & bowls were upside down. All the toilet water was green and there were also footprints all over the table/chairs and on the door.  Abby immediately got a wet wipe and scrubbed the footprints off where she sits - she didn't like the thought of the leprechaun standing by her seat - too sweet.

Also - got a sweet picture of Abby's artwork - love it!!!  going to miss it next year when all three girls are in elementary school

Happy St Patty's day....smiley face

School is good

Good Dental Care....smiley face

ahhh...flowers!

I was helping with teacher appreciation week at Woodland - and had to buy the flowers for the $1 sale.  Loved having $400 worth of flowers in my house - if only for one night....so beautiful - smiley face!!!
