"I'm a super special girl"

Tonight I was talking on the phone to Chris, making dinner and Hannah came running into the kitchen...

Hannah - "Mommy, did you know Rock OBama's birthday is the same as mine?"
Me - "Yes Hannah, we talked about it last year on your birthday"
Hannah - "And I'm named after Hannah Montana - a famous girl"
Then she started running off and said "I'm a super special girl"

Too sweet and funny....Daddy heard it all from DC too - smiley face  (BTW - she's named after my grandmother, Hannah Mae - smiley face)

Eyes in the back of your head

Last night as I was lying in bed with Hannah...after I thought she was asleep, she looked over at me & said "Mommy, when do you get eyes in the back of your head?".  I smiled & said "You get them when you become a mommy or a teacher".  She hesitated then felt the back of her head and said "How do they get there".  I replied "Magic Hannah, it's magic".  So sweet....smiley face

Lexy's schoolwork

I forgot to post this when it came home fromschool a few weeks ago - it made both Chris & I smile....

Here's what it says...

The sport I like to play the most is "soccer"
I like it because "I can scor(e) on my dad and he's good"
The sport I like second best is "tennis"
I like it because "my mom is good and I cna play with her"
The sport I like to watch the most is "football"
I like to watch it because "florida plays on tv"

oh Abby!

She is our picky, stubborn one - to the point that we are probably more than a little crazy - but sometimes - like tonight - she just amazes us.  She was PILING the fresh salsa on to her quesadilla tonight (little did she know it was chalked full of tomatoes & artichokes)....but still a fight to get her to eat anything else.  I had to grab my camera and snap this picture b/c Chris & I were just smiling at one another as she asked for more & more...we'll find a way - somehow, someway - to get nutritious food in her - ha ha  (and Yes - she dressed herself, smiley face)

Happy New Year

Had to share these pictures of the girls - they are so sweet.  We went to a New Year's Day party in our neighborhood and the girls dressed themselves as wild animals...Abby was torn between cow & giraffe, but in the end chose to wear the same thing as sweet Lexy.  And they just looked so sweet after church today....2010 is going to be a great year - smiley face!

New Years Eve

The day started out with Granny & Grandpa at Take Two for the Puppet Show (The ShoeMaker & The Elves) - the day before we tried to go & it was sold out - I didn't think we needed to pre-order them - oops!  We had a great time watching the show & making Elf puppets afterwards.

That evening we had some friends over for dinner (and fireworks - thank you Barrett family) - it was a fun time - the girls loved that they had sparking cider (Lexy even wanted it served in a wine glass - she didn't get that wish - ha ha - smiley face).  Fun times to say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010 (although we didn't really make it awake to ring in 2010 - everyone left around 9:30 - smiley face)
