While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is about - author unknown

"Daddy, will you take Lexy to school tomorrow?"

Hannah asked Chris this tonight.  He replied "sure, but why do you want me to take her to school".  She said "Because I don't want to have to go out in the cold."  Too funny - we have been spoiled by Chris taking Lexy to school on his way to work A LOT now that he's not training for anything - and I have to agree - it is really, really cold for us all to pile in my car & drive her the half mile to school (b/c we sure aren't walking these days - smiley face).  So sweet.

"But you are going to mess my make-up up"

Abby tells me this morning as I try to give her cough syrup before we go to preschool.  Seriously?!  She has put on her lipgloss and doesn't want to take the meds b/c she's all ready for school.  What's to come in the pre-teen years....smiley face!

"Naps are boring"

As we were coming back from a doctor appointment last week, a particularly cranky Abby shared this with me when I told her she needed one.  It made me laugh - and I think that's the complete truth too, but I can't let her know that "naps are borinig".  Busy bodies unite - smiley face!
