While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is about - author unknown

Our family is just great!

Ice cream sundaes after dinner - yum!  What a treat to enjoy outside w/ daddy on the deck (so creativte w/ his sweets)....and when I came home afterwards from running a few errands, I found these incredible cards from the girls for our fun day - so sweet - smiley face.  I love my family!!!!

Hair cuts...the after shots!

Swim season is over, so we headed to snipits to cut that chlorine out of the hair....and trim it up (Lexy wants to grow hers out so we truly did just trim it up...Hannah & Abby met me half way with their styles....they wanted shorter/longer but we bobbed it up - so cute)...and of course sparkles, jewels and braids - even for Kaia (who wanted a hair cut, but I wasn't about to do that w/out her mom there - ha ha - smiley face).

President's Day at the Zoo

After having our cousin Kaia over for a sleepover, we headed out to the zoo to meet sooooooo  many of our friends for a fun day (nearly all of Hannah's Y5s preschool class was there - plus friends from the neighborhood and more - what a treat!!!).  Good times w/ great friends....

Go DUMC Red Bulldogs

And another soccer tournament is over....we had a slow start on Saturday morning against an incredible team (who won the tourny) and played a competitive game on Saturday afternoon that didn't go our way (it was BEAUTIFUL out) after the girls championship swim meet at Marist (go Lexy & Hannah - they both did great in their events (relays and 25 free & back) - I didn't take any pix though - smiley face) and played incredible on Sunday morning again.  What a fun weekend for a soccer tournament - thanks to Daddy/Coach for organizing it all - and practicing w/ these girls for the past two months in the cold.  Thanks to Nana & Papa for coming to cheer the girls on...and Gma w/ Charlie too - smiley face.  We love soccer in the Faklaris home - smiley face.

Lexy won the quiz bowl....so proud!

Last year she represented her class in the quiz bowl and this year she did the same and WON it.  So proud of our sweet girl who memorized all the facts about Black History Month and buzzed in to answer them all.  Such a smart, sweet girl we have....go Lexy - smiley face!

awwww....not like home

Chris has been traveling A LOT lately - we miss him but know he's working hard.  He sent this picture from his phone the other day and it said "not like home".  (I buy the enormous bags of peanut m&ms from costco for Chris to eat fistfuls every night before bed (or anytime after dinner when he walks in the kitchen - ha ha)- usually w/ a glass of milk.

Old to Hannah

Today at the dermatologist, while we were waiting to be seen, the girls were watching the cooking channel in the lobby.  They were talking about octopus in what looked like a yummy salad (to Lexy & me anyway - smiley face)...Hannah said she would try it "when I grow old like 8 or 10".   Too funny about not only trying octopus but moreso about what she thinks is old.

Hannah has "pepsi-coke"

Hannah went to a birthday party at California Pizza Kitchen....fun times, but she sat next to the birthday girl (no surprise there - somehow our girls always make their way up to the front of the table and sit next to the guest of honor - they like to be in the middle of the action & celebrate close w/ their friends - smiley face).  She ordred "pepsi-coke" so Hannah did too....she was WIRED at her swim meet that night....where we we learned she had TWO refills of it - eeks.  Her first caffeine (that we know of)....smiley face

Happy Valentine's Day

Thank you Daddy for surprising us with beautiful flowers, yummy chocolates from Puerto Rico and paper hearts in a string of our age.  We miss you on Vday, but know we love you - you are so thoughtful as always.  Lexy & Hannah had their class parties today and wow did they come home with more candy....Valentine's Day is turning into Halloween - haha!  We love our family & friends!
